Admissions
Admission decisions are made by a faculty committee and are based on:
- work experience
- previous academic accomplishments
- demonstrated potential for graduate and professional success
- references and test scores
MS-Tech Admissions strives for balanced geographic and industry representation in the makeup of each class. Admissions will notify applicants in writing as soon as the decision is made.
Target Audience
- Those with engineering, science, or technical undergraduate
degrees working in research and development; those involved in
designing and developing new products, software, and services;
or those managing the deployment of engineering and technology
projects.
- Working professionals who may not have science or engineering backgrounds but who have extensive experience in developing or managing technology.
Requirements
- Completion of a bachelor's degree or the equivalent with a
'B' or better grade point average (3.0 on 4.0 scale) from an
accredited college in the United States or a recognized institution
of higher learning outside the United States
- A minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 (paper-based)
or 213 (computer-based)
- Two years of full time work experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with a combination of work experience (less than two years) and a relevant undergraduate degree are also encouraged to apply.
You will note that the MS-Tech Program does not require the GMAT. Because the program is designed for experienced managers, the length and nature of work experience is an important criterion for admission. If, however, an applicant has taken the GMAT and wishes to submit the scores with his/her application, the scores will be taken into account during the application review process. This will be particularly useful for applicants who have recently graduated and thus have limited work experience.
